About Tanisha Ellis BA, LCSW

A woman with orange braids in a black dress sitting on a white tufted bench.

As a Queer Black Woman, I've often found myself in spaces that are uncomfortable to exist in. Over the years, I've honed my ability to articulate my thoughts regarding these feelings and learned the importance of advocating for myself to thrive in environments where I'm often a minority. With 15 years of experience in various roles, I've come to realize that my pivotal experiences are not unique; others, too, navigate challenges that shape their personal and professional lives. Pursuing a career in the mental health profession to support underrepresented communities has always been a primary goal.  Nevertheless, I've come to a profound realization that not everyone has access to a knowledgeable professional in their locality and may struggle to identify someone who can cater to their specific needs. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am well-versed in various methodologies that ensure clients get what they need from therapy. Although I am not currently accepting clients, I am open to discussing other ways I can assist you, your family, your place of employment, or someone you may know.
